The Right Back @ U exhibition at Caloundra Regional Gallery celebrates the hidden talents of the region’s most active and emerging artists living with disabilities from 10 July to 18 August 2013.
This inspirational exhibition is the culmination of works created through a series of workshops from seven emerging artists living with disabilities guided by five established artists as mentors.
The Right Back @ U mentoring program, an initiative of Sunshine Coast Council, aims to provide creative opportunities for local artists living with disabilities by further developing their craft and providing an experiential pathway into professional visual arts practice.
Council would like to acknowledge community organisations Spiral Centre, Sunshine Coast Art Group Inc. and Caloundra Community Centre Inc. who generously supported the Right Back @ U mentoring program with in-kind donation of access to their facilities.
